What is non-surgical chin enhancement?

Non-surgical chin enhancement is a safe, non-invasive alternative to traditional chin augmentation. The procedure involves injecting dermal filler into precise areas of the chin in order to increase the length, width or projection of the chin. The fillers we use are non-animal and allergy free and are broken down by the body over time – usually over 9 – 12 months.

*Individual results may vary

Who is a good candidate for chin enhancement?

Anyone who desires an improvement in the size and shape of the chin may be suitable for non-surgical chin enhancement. For those with a small or weak chin, this can improve the balance of their face.

How is the treatment performed and is it painful?

Treatment is carried out in the clinic and takes around 30 minutes. The dermal filler used contains local anaesthetic, so most clients find the treatment very tolerable. Local anaesthetic cream can be used prior to treatment if desired – please request this when you book.

When will I see the results?

Improvement in chin shape and projection will be seen immediately following the treatment. Mild swelling may be seen, and this will resolve within 3 – 4 days. A bruise can occasionally occur. If you are prone to bruising, there’s a few things you can do before your treatment to minimise this. Ask us about it when you book.

How much does chin enhancement cost?

The cost for non surgical chin enhancement depends on the product used and the volume required. As a guide, 1ml of thicker dermal filler (which is most suitable for giving lift to the chin area) is priced at $590. See our dermal filler price list

Are there any side effects from chin enhancement treatment?

Treatment with dermal filler is very safe, but occasional side effects can occur. These include:

  • Redness and swelling around the injection site
  • Bruising can occur at the injection point and can occasionally be quite marked
  • Additional treatment may be needed to achieve the desired result
  • Infection is very rare, but is possible with any procedure that pierces the skin
  • Other very rare complications can occur. These will be discussed during your consultation.
