Twelve Months until I DO
Skin Consultation
We all want to look and feel beautiful, especially on our wedding day, so it’s important to start planning your treatment regime with plenty of time. Twelve months before the big day is a great time to come in for a free consultation.
Our Registered Nurses will instantly put you at ease as they talk to you about your face, skin and body concerns and will write you a personalised treatment plan advising which treatments would be best suited to you. This is a great time to have treatments that require a longer down-time, and start those that require multiple sessions!
Fraxel 1550 Laser
The Fraxel 1550 Laser treatments are great for deeper skin rejuvenation, acne scarring, and other scarring including chicken pox. Fraxel 1550 heats deep into the dermis, stimulating the skin’s healing response and stimulating collagen. As it is fractional, only a portion of the skin is treated each session so usually 3 – 5 treatments are required.
You can expect a down time of 5 – 7 days after Fraxel 1550, although some pinkness hue to the skin for a number of weeks (this is easily covered by mineral makeup). Best resuls appear 4 – 6 weeks after the treatments so starting now will give you plenty of time to smooth and brigthen your skin.
Erbium Laser
Erbium Laser offers a resurfacing treatment to erase fine lines, minimise deeper lines and scarring and treat all forms of pigmentation. This is our strongest laser treatment and 7 – 10 days of down time (best friends only for the first week!) as you can expects redness, swelling and oozing. The pinkness to the skin can persist for several months (though is well covered with mineral makeup) which is why we recommend you think about it at least 6 months before any special event.
One treatment will usually give you great results, but for deeper lines or acne scarring some clients may need two to three. Our nurses can advise you on how many you might need.
Due to the ability of Erbium Laser to target stubborn and advanced skin concerns, it is highly recommended for older clients who sunbaked before the Slip, Slop, Slap message was prominent. Look at our dramatic Erbium before and after pictures and see if this is the treatment for you. This is also a great treatment option for the Mother-Of-The-Bride who will also want to look fantastic for the day.
Tattoo Removal
Tattoos are no longer a rarity, with a large percentage of the population now sporting permanent ink designs on their skin. But if you’ve fallen out of love with your tattoo, we can help.
Getting ink in to your skin is quick, but removing it is a much slower process, and generally it takes ten to fourteen treatments to fully remove the design so the earlier you start before your wedding, the better! Black and red inks respond the best to our Revlite laser, while green and blue can take extra time, as can heavily pigmented cover ups.
