A Plasma Pen is a wildly popular non-invasive, skin lifting, tightening and rejuvenation device primarily used to treat wrinkles, and sagging, crepey skin.
A Plasma Pen converts electrical energy to electrostatic energy to create nitrogen; when placed 1mm from the skin, the nitrogen is mixed with oxygen to produce an arc of plasma which discharges onto the skin. This causes a micro-trauma to the skin’s epidermis (top layers) whilst simultaneously disrupting the dermis (deeper layers) via thermal conduction. This treatment is also known as fibroblasting. Fibroblasts are the most common cells of connective tissue in the body that produce collagen.
